About

A little bit about me

Hi there! I’m Marie, a French Acadienne foodie. I’m the recipe maker, content creator and food photographer behind The Green Galley. I started this blog as a personal project to encourage myself and others to eat healthy and to make plant-based eating more approachable. I’m new to blogging, but my passion for cooking is long-standing.

Aside from being in the kitchen, I also love to travel, which is what I used to do for a living. I was a flight attendant for the last four years but recently lost my job due to the Pandemic. It’s definitely a tough time to go through, but I decided to take it as an opportunity to finally launch my blog. Cooking and sharing recipes bring me so much joy!

What you can find on my blog

The Green Galley offers well-tested vegan recipes inspired from dishes around the world. Some are incredibly healthy, some are a bit more indulgent, but they’re all absolutely delicious. Most of the ingredients I use are whole, natural and nourishing; fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts and seeds and vegan alternatives like tofu, tempeh and non-dairy milk products. Fancy ingredients, expensive equipment or hours of preparation are not required.

Despite the fact that all recipes on The Green Galley are plant-based, all eaters are welcome on my blog and discussion needs to be done in a kind and respectful manner.

Whether you’re a seasoned chef or just learning your way around the kitchen, it’s my hope that this blog will have something to offer you.

Bon appétit!
